CHELSEA:(knocks on Miley's front door)
[no1 answers]
ASHLEY:(rings doorbell)

[no1 answers]

NICK:Im gonna look around back.(walks away)

JOE:(peaks thru window) The lights are all off.

JASON:Looks like all the bedroom blinds are shut 2.

KEVIN:This is so wierd.

CAMILLA:Maybe they went on vacation or something.

DAVID:Ya. Or maybe there was a family emergency.

DRAKE:Miley wouldve sent some sorta news by now.

ZAC:Yuh never know. It couldve been something to distract her and make her forget.

VANESSA:People! Stop guessing! You're making me nervous!

DEMI:Seriously!

NICK:(comes back) Well, I see a light shining thru the master bedroom but other than that it looks like no1s here.

SELENA:Well, here.(pulls her keychain outta her pocket)(going thru keys) Miley gave me and extra key to her house incase she ever forgot her's or if they went on vacation. Just so i could check up on it, you know.(winks at David)(smirks)(finds the key) Here it is.

NICK:Selena?

SELENA:(smiling) Ya?

EVERY1:Why didnt u say u had it sooner?!!

VANESSA:Instead of every1 trying to guess, we couldve just gone in to see!

SELENA:Jisher! Sorry! It just didnt click in my mind.(unlocks door;walks in)

EVERY1:(shakes their head;follows)

TAYLOR:(whispering)The house is clean but from wt i can make out, it looks so empty.

CHACE:(whispering)Sounds empty too.

CHELSEA:(whispering)This is too wierd.

ASHLEY:(whispering)Y r we whispering?

NICK:Ya? Its ok guys.(chuckles)

[With Miley in master bedroom]

TISH:(was sleeping when she heard the front door open and voices talking)(shakes Miley to wake up)(whispers)Miley. Honey.

MILEY:(drowsily)Huh?

TISH:Shh!(whipers)Some1s in the house.

MILEY:(sits up)(whispers) Who?

TISH:(whispers)Idk. Im gonna go have a look.(goes to door)

MILEY:(follows)(grabs an umbrella from closet)

[With others]

VANESSA:Some1 turn on the lights. Its dark in here.

[They hear footsteps coming down the stairs/The girls grab onto their boyfriends' arms-except Taylor grabbed onto Joe's and Selena grabbed onto David's][lights are still off]

NICK:(quietly moves over to light switch;flicks it on;sees Miley about to hit the back of Zac's head)Miley!

MILEY:(stunned) Wha..what r u guys doing here?

TISH:Howd u get in?

EVERY!:(startled btw TishandMiley looked with their eyes all red and droopy, their skin all pale, and dark circles under their eyes)

SELENA:Mi..Miley gave me a k...key.

NICK:We got worried when Miley didnt come over yesterday or show up at school today.

MILEY:(looks down)(falls to the ground;breaks down in tears)

TISH:(crying)(rubs Miley's back)

EVERY1:(rushes over to them) Whats wrong?

NICK:Miley. Tell me. Tell me whats bothering u.

MILEY:(cries with even more anguish)Dad is dead!

[2hrs later Miley and Tish have stopped crying and explained the whole story.]

KEVIN:(walks back in from kitchen)Mrs.Cyrus? Miley? I just called my mom and she'd like it if u wud both come stay with us for awhile.

TISH:(smiles sweetly)Thank u but no. No. I wont. But if Mi..

MILEY:(interrupts)No. I wanna stay with mom.

NICK:Please. This is what the 2 of u need rite now. Just to get away from all the locked up memories that r depressing u and so that, when ur ready to come back, you can enjoy them.

TISH:(considering)(after a few moments)But thats asking 2 much of ur...

JOE:(interrputs)They said they WANT to have u.

ASHELY:Please Mrs.Cyrus. Miley. Accept.

MILEYandTISH:(look at eachother)

MILEY:Ok.

NICK:(hugs her tight)(whispers)Im gonna help you.

MILEY:(tears stream down cheeks)(whispers)I dont think u can.

NICK:(holding her)(whispers)I will Miley. I WILL.(tear falls)

[1hr later at the Jonas']

NICK:(leading them upstairs;caring their suitcases)U 2 can stay in my room.(walks in2 room)

MILEYandTISH:(follow)

TISH:Thank u so much Nick.(smiles)

NICK:You're welcome.I'll clear out my things in the morning.(wanted to kiss Miley goodnight but wasnt sure if now was the time)Well, um, goodnight.(walks out)

TISH:(looks at Miley)(smiles) Keep him close hun. There arent many of those anymore.

[Downstairs]

NICK:(flops on2 couch)(sighs) The funeral is 2mrw afternoon.
