ZiegFlambert: Its easy to say that it was wrong now, but at that time it was the norm. Plus this movie is all about making men at the time look like dicks. I'm not saying they were right at all, just that you should not judge the past from ideas that came from the events you are judging

DragonflyNoir10: Just because something is "the norm" does not make it right. There are lots of past "norms" that we judge by today's standers. As a woman with a Masters Degree in Women's Studies; the acts, women, and men depicted in this film, are pretty much accurate, the majority of the statements that were made by the political officials in this film are archived in The Library of Congress . Anyone with a computer, or library can do some elementary research, and find out for themselves.
