ALSO Making This Kind of a Theist Challenge - I know I touched upon the Christian Hell Topic before but I would like Video responses to the statements I made in this vid. Think about it and tell me how ChristoferL & much of christianity`s doctrine of hell in anyway can be rationally justified.

ChristianNewsWatch: 2 reasons why most Christians believe in hell: 1) Church brainwashing 2) Reading the Bible literally, instead of spiritually. Think of all the times we read "He who has ears to hear, let him hear".... if we could learn all of God's secrets just by reading everything literally, then Jesus had no reason to use this phrase so often! :) (clue=Mark 4:34) God has to open Chris' spiritual eyes to this in His timing... but may be teaching Chris something else meanwhile. TheEdge012: Hell is not a necessary belief in order to be a Christian. So...let's just say we have misinterpreted what Christ said about it. Does that negate our salvation in Him? Too many people use this excuse to refuse to be believers when its not even the necessary theology to be Christian. Its improperly used to scare people into a relationship with God who would probably much prefer that we willingly come to Him out of our own desire to know Him and please Him.
TheEdge012: To elaborate: My stance on hell is to let people know about it as I understand Scripture to describe it. I do not care however if they agree with me so long as they put their trust in Christ and begin the journey of being reborn.

ReligionFreeDeist: Great points John. Excellent video. I should mention it in a video but I wanted to get to the bottom of this "hell" thing BEFORE I decided whether or not to have kids for this very reason.
TheEdge012: 1. When you concede something in an argument to enhance another point it does not mean your stop believing the one that you willingly put aside in that moment. 2. Written words are easier for me to understand than homosexual penguins and squirrels that do things with their nuts (to use your illustrations). Perhaps that is a flaw of mine...LOL.
