Overhauled LifeDrive Video

This is my LifeDrive Palm after some serious overhauling: The 4GB Hitachi Harddisk has been removed for a 16GB Transcend CF 300x card, thanks to Dmitry's PowerDrive (www.palmpowerups.com) . That allowed me to change the LD's memory from 64 to 256Mb, and the rest is used as storage for movies, music, videos, photos, etc etc. Also the speed increased a lot, that's why I had it installed the new WebOS-LIKE launcher TealOS, to give the LD a whole new life and look.

Worth to mention too is the PowerSDHC driver (thanks again Dmitry!), so I can access upt o 32GB SDHC memory cards.

pinkiewerewolf: That is sweet! Can I send my lifedrive to palmpowerups for this upgrade or would I have to perform the flash drive and downloads myself? I have a lifedrive that I purchased with a 4GB flash replacing the microdrive.

snoopy4ever: Thanks.. . I love the way my LD is performing now. You will have to buy teh new Flash memory and buy the software from PalmPowerUps and install everything yourself. If you decide to do so, pls let me know I have some advices for that.

pinkiewerewolf: I definitely want to do the upgrade. I've seen a video or two on repairing the LD so I should be able to replace the 4 GB flash drive with a 16 or 32 GB flash drive or I can send it to the guy I bought it from to do that. (I'm bummed, if I had seen this video before I bought the LD I would have had him do the upgrade then.) That being said, I can use any advice or tips that you want to share.

modster7: Will the new os work in landscape mode as well? and what version os are you useing now? And does your battery last longer useing the flash drive?

snoopy4ever: yes.. TealOS works totally great on landscape mode, the Battery works as well as before, although I replaced 10 months ago for a longer life one., since is so addictive to work with that interface you spend more time enjoying and therefore running on batteries.
