Metro-North Train 8819 departs Cold Spring Video
Filmed on a soggy Saturday October 24, 2009. Here at the North end of the Cold Spring Station (Milepost 52.5) on Metro-North's Hudson Line (ex-NY Central Main Line between Albany & NYC) we see a north-bound train headed by GE P32AC-Dual Mode "Genesis" locomotve #225 and an all-MNRR consist of Shoreliner cars (most likely III series.) headed north to Beacon & eventually, Poughkeepsie.
rvhelm: Does that bring back memories!
ecoRfan: That thing sounds like a vacuum cleaner, except it's a freakin' diesel! (Hey the ALP-44's are electric).
Train538: Yes they are all Shorliner lll's. Nice catchs! Especially since they're all lll's, all in MN paint scheme, and the cab-car (6317) missing the second set of numbers on the front right. 5 stars!!!!!
RailFanTV: I think the rain had something to do with that. Apparently water mixed with CWR causes that vaccum cleaner sound.
RailFanTV: I'll bet
morningsidemoons: The end to end shorelines are more fun because of the names.
