Official - Top Gear GTR R35 Review (HD) Video
International Car of the Year.
The Nissan GT-R has been rated the coolest trend car of today by the very famous german car magazine "Auto Bild".
Nissan claims the GT-R can reach a top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h), Motor Trend recorded a top speed of 195.0 mph (313.8 km/h). It has been tested to achieve 0-60 mph (97 km/h) times as low as 3.2 seconds with launch control and 3.9 seconds without (improved to 3.5 seconds in models produced since March 2009). Autocar achieved a 0-100 mph (160 km/h) time of 8.5 seconds.
With a manufacturer claimed lap time of 7:26:7 min on standard Japanese market tires, the GT-R is currently one of the fastest production cars to lap the Nürburgring circuit.
The GT-R currently holds a lap time of 1:19.7 around the Top Gear Test Track, equalling that of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia.
Road & Track were able to achieve quick lap times with the car on Buttonwillow Raceway, clocking in approximately 5 seconds faster than the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo.
On Willow Springs International Motorsports Park, Edmunds were able to achieve lap times that were approximately 1 second slower than a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with the GT-R.
Several automotive journalists, including Chris Harris of Autocar, Jethro Bovingdon of Evo, and Jason Barlow of Top Gear (magazine) have compared the GT-R to the Bugatti Veyron. Harris and Bovingdon both labeled the GT-R a "baby Veyron" in their respective comparison tests of the car.
The production version of the GT-R debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, launching in the Japanese market on December 6, 2007. The U.S. official launch was 7 months later on July 07, 2008. Universal Nissan in Los Angeles provided a customer with the delivery of a new GT-R, fresh from the production line at 12:01 AM, on July 7, 2008. The Canadian launch was also in July 2008. Europe became the third consumer market, where it launched late in the year. The large disparity in initial marketing between these regional releases is due to Nissan having to build GT-R performance centers where the car is serviced. Also the engine and rear-mounted dual-clutch gearbox are built by hand, thus limiting production to around 1000 cars a month.

Abraxes911: Alright why the hell is this video in HD if there are enormous black bars on both the top AND bottom? It's useless.
branzashorea: GOD
setarcos4131: I love it ! I may not be able to afford a GTR in my lifetime but I really like the 370z as well so I may have to live my GTR dreams in that lol
lexusisf250: This car won best technologically advance in science magazine and now it won best car in the world. Take that vette boyz. jealous?
jedi8625: @lexusisf250 Sure the GT-R may be winning a bunch of awards, but the ZR1 is still faster....for example Motor Trend did a comparison between the GT-R, ZR1, Ferrari 599 GTB, and the Porsche GT2. One of the tests was having a race car driver take them around a track, and the ZR1 was the fastest, and the GT-R was slowest. Now before you accuse me of being a Vette Fanboy I'm not at all...I just hate it when people declare the cars the best with little proof. P.S.-I plan on owning a GT-R some day.
carranza828: The GTR is truly an amazing car. take off all the technology and its nothing but a twin turbo maxima. the ZR1 has none of this technology except for stabilitrack(GM's traction control system) other than changing the suspension settings the ZR1 achieves, if not, surpasses the performance of the GTR. It's also RWD, not AWD like the GTR. Bottom line is both cars are built to perfection, both are amazing and both have their flaws.
zenw8: Pure sex on weels...
c0nv1ct1337: The Z06 is the GT-R's rival as it's equivalently priced. The ZR1 well... its about 20-30k more. Is it that much better, IMHO no. The Z06 on the other hand gets its ass handed by the GT-R. Lets also not forget you get build quality and reliability unlike a ZR1 which falls apart within a week. (Had a great laugh on Top Gear when the seatbelt was attacking Clarkson) Btw in case your GT-R breaks, they send a group of dedicated GT-R engineers to your Nissan dealership to fix it.
c0nv1ct1337: I don't understand why you people compare this car to the Porsche GT2, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Vette ZR1... These cars are way out of the price range of this car. It would be complete retarded if it performed way better then them. However, if you want best bang for your buck for a performance vehicle, this is it. This car is 4/5th GT2 performance for almost 1/3 of the price.
ringoffire02: except the $20,000 transmission that breaks right after you buy it and the fact that doing anything the car is built to do voids the warranty
c0nv1ct1337: Clearly you lack the truth because one retard went off saying rumors and lies. The car was build with a special technique to get your out of mud, snow, etc. However, retards confused that as launch control (again it is NOT launch control) and abused the feature and had their transmission broken. It clearly states in the warranty the only purpose of this "launch control" is to get out of mud and not to try to get the best 0-60 times. NEVERTHELESS, this feature is fixed in 2010 models. Period.
c0nv1ct1337: Twin turbo maxima? LOL? They don't share anything, not don't even the same engine. What type of shit are you on? On the other hand GM shares that LS block with the Caddilac CTS V and the Camaro SS. It's just slightly modified. The interior is practically the same as all the previous 'vettes which is actually worse then of a 2009 Toyota Camry (no joke). On and the exterior look? Yea, nothing new, looks pretty much like every other 'vette.
carranza828: in looks yes. i love how you ignored everything i said about the GTR and its "Technology" and most car companies keep same looks on their iconic cars. look at BMW's 3 series, 5 series...all the same thing. Lamborghini's too. stop trying to go on youtube acting like you know everything about your beloved jap car. its an amazing car but a turbo'd cars reliability is far less than any natrually aspired car. all cars are reliable if you maintain them properly.
nevel89: please toyota give us a new supra
c0nv1ct1337: What? ROFL Holy shit, how retarded are you? This isn't the 1990s, turbo cars are just as reliable and now the use of them is increasing dramatically, ESPECIALLY in Europe. Hell, BMW itself wants to go back 2 cylinders and add turbos to every series of cars. Iconic cars? While GT-R itself isn't called a Skyline it's not like it came out of someone's ass. It's clear it has many resemblances (as well as technology) from R34, R33, and R32 Skylines. You don't know shit about its tech either.
doraemon8061: The point is that GT-R's v6 is enough to make a Ferrari nervous
Argaros4175: Yep ^^
yuyusuck: man o man if they make one of those idc iwill go and buy it
yuyusuck: wow id buy this over a ferrari for real only if we get A NEW TOYOTA SUPRA COMMON TOYOTA
bennyinthehouse: Why do people encode and upload these videos in HD when they aren't ment to be in HD...-_-?? Re-encoding these tiny resolution upto HD will only bum down the quality and result in a ridiculously large file size due to superbfluous bitrate and resolution.
bigjonnyjon: Turbo cars will always be better
katz4588: Nice jet
ChummyChime: @bigjonnyjon RX7 FD is not turbo but a great car. Im just saying.
KaCaNgGuru: that day i saw BMW M3 vs GTR r35 GTR won BMW M3 Far away
monsterenergy713: The car is a beast no question but I think I'd rather have the zr1
