This is an update dedicated to people that appreacite guitar work more than anything else (and I guess most of the memebers here do), so let us not discuss or rant about the EQ of the song.

Ok lets rant for, just a bit. Turns out that South of Heaven has a new memeber. This time wasn't Marl the keyboardist, and it is abiously not IKUTO, circle leader. This guitarrist is called CASTER, and to be honest I liked it a lot.
Can you hear that guitar? I mean, it's true, the main melody of ZUN's song is a bit bland, and maybe it gets a little repetitive over a while. But, that intro at the beggining, and the solo you are about to hear in a couple of seconds are just godly. Not to mention the tapping (?) part on the main ZUN melody. As a guitarrist I have to admit it is a totally succesfull attempt to create a more rockish version of Till When?

But, as we can hear, not everything is epic and perfect. Unfortunately, there is a huge mistake on the EQ. Well, maybe it wasn't consider it as a mistake, but I feel that the drums are really loud, not to mention they hear really proccesed (If you are going to use a drum machine, you have to do the best you can in order to make it sound not virtual) . Aside from that, the bass volume is really high, and takes a lot of shine to that gorgeous guitar on the track.

I feel like if the guitarrist was miles away from the studio, while the drums are in front of me.
I did some research, and turns out that it was IKUTO who mixed the album. I mean...what happened? I thought we were over this? Last time IKUTO mixed the album (PC-98 album), it was a gorgeous piece of music, and it is even one of my favorite albums...of ALL my metal collection (not only Touhou).

Don't ask me what went wrong on this one, probably it was recorded in another studio with less machines to work on.
Anyhow, that guitar was deserved to be herd. I really wish to hear more of CASTER on the upcomming events, and who knows, maybe a duo beetwen IKUTO and CASTER? That would really make the channel explode....if its good mixed of course.

Did you know that:

Her theme song is titled "Hiroari Shoots A Strange Bird ~ Till When?", named after a story in which a warrior named Hiroari slays a youkai known as the Nue. This is a pun on the storyline. The "strange bird" is a Nue, also called the "Itsumaden", since it makes this cry near unmourned corpses, meaning "How long (will this corpse remain unattended)?"
Judging from the story of Perfect Cherry Blossom, the heroine plays the role of Hiroari, Youmu is the Nue, and the corpse is probably Yuyuko Saigyouji. (See also Flandre Scarlet and Yukari Yakumo.)

Stig22121: Among my favorite of the Touhou themes, this just about tore a hole in space-time for how awesome it is. It's an awesome ear-worm, and it's the kind that you really don't mind. It's better than the Ducktales theme, anyway. (I'll just let you think about that.)

VileLasagna: Also: Just read Chaos' comments and I'm afraid I disagree with you: There's not nearly enough bass in there(Then again, silly Chaos plays guitar and smart Lasagna is a bass man). I don't think the drums are that loud, maybe a little bit yeah, but it's because they are kinda unimaginative so they are the repetitive part. Guitar bloody rocks.

Maggeus: I agree with chaos, the huitar is godly, but the drums really seem synthetic. And yeah, the guitar should totally be louder.

LyzaraKitsune: Yeah, the drums (particularly after the opening) does sound a bit synthetic (that or it's my ear...agh!), and maybe just a smidgit loud, but it's not too bad. But both the guitar and drums are very satisfying. Then again, I'm a sucker for rock with a beat. I was just listening to Till When last night, I'm sure, it's quite the tune that I enjoy. Even if not a favorite, it seems strangely memorable.

VileLasagna: Also regarding drums on an update about my opinion in which probably no one is interested: I run SRS Audio Sandbox on my machine (The best I can do, I guess, since I can't stick an X-Fi on my laptop) to get much better sound (at the cost of occasional sound freezes T_T). Today I decided to format this machine and pulled a ghost that does NOT have it. Yeah, drums are annoying now that I don't have my sound magic on.
