Unexpected - Oneshot Video

Today, I found this laying in a notebook. I wrote this as an assignment in camp, and decided I'd share, just because. The song, picture and title have nothing to do with it. I'm INCREDIBLY frustrated right now, 'cause it's taken me over an hour trying to make a video that was worthwhile, but it kept failing me. Plus, all my websites are down and I'm just pissy right now.
Also, I know the story is short, but I didn't want to make it any longer, just because... Enjoy.

I pass my favorite house in the world. The way it looks - so inviting. Though I have never seen anyone go inside the house nor come out, it still looks lived in and homey. I glance down at my watch and figure I have enough time to run up the pebbled driveway and sneak a peek into the window by the door. I look around and happily note that there's no one to be seen. I dash up the driveway and walk straight to the window. While the outside looks inviting, homey, warm... The inside looks modern, sleek and cold. It's fully furnished to look like a picture in a magazine, complete with a fan of actual magazines laying on the gleaming glass table. The room looks like all sharp squares fit together. I lean on the door subconsciously and it opens silently. My feet seem to have a mind of their own as they carry me into the house. A cold breeze makes goose bumps arise on my arms and my hair stand upright.
I continue walking through the house, ignoring the nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach. Finally, I reach another door that I push through hesitantly. I flip the light-switch but nothing happens. I narrow my eyes and let them adjust to the dark. I step inside, once again, against my better judgment. I continue to walk until I stub my tow on something. I kneel down and feel a small box. Velvet covered, like a jewelry box would be. I contemplate whether or not I should open it. I find that I couldn't walk away from it, even if I wanted to. It gives off that same appealing vibe as the outside of the house that was once my favorite house in the world. I snap the box open and run my fingers over the cold metal strip inside. The top is smooth while the bottom has significant curves. I'm quick to realize its a key... My fingertips graze a thin metal chain I hold it up and it catches the one sliver of light that shines through the drawn black curtains.
I walk out of the dark room - box in hand - and examine the key necklace in the light. It all but begs me to take it with me. The cold, dead interior gives me new chills as I walk through the room. The door to the dark room closes behind me and the need to flee immediately courses through my veins. I start to run and don't stop until I hit the sidewalk in front of my own house. Only then I realize the key is still in my hand, with my fingers clenched around it so tightly, my knuckles are white. I put the key around my neck and take a deep breath. I push open my front door...

(I'm using big words to get over my stupid depression) Your got a talent that all of your readers want, to be so diligient (I think that's the right meaning) with words, and creative with your words. cutierose1234: Hmm, I could actually see this as some sort of Thriller, suspense type of story. Or maybe Horror, it depends what you would include in with the main characters. :) Still, this was amazingly written. I agree with you, if you ever wrote this (and I think you should ;D), it wouldn't be right to have JB in it. This doesn't seem the fanfiction type. Again, amazing.
