circuit bent yamaha mu5, dsi evolver, and akai ewi Video

circuit bent yamaha mu5 multi-timbral portable midi tone generator. midi implementation is basic but has very flexible multi-timbral setups for any midi controller or external sequencer.

in this demo the ewi can control two independant midi channels at once. mu5 assigned 2 tones per midi channel and it's internally panned in stereo. the signal is fed into the dsi's stereo filters which is summed back into mono. i'm able to place more emphasis on each midi channel by midi panning of the stereo filters with a pedal controller. this creates a rich malleable sound with just the mu5 alone.

besides the evolver's filters and amps being controlled with breath, i'm doing just a little touch of live looping and no other processing is used.

audio loop at intro of video is mu5 run direct.

manufacturedZ3R0: You get to grab all the cool machines ;) the 'skill level' on ebay at bagging top prizes has gone up and up in the last year haha. Anyway, this thing sounds amazing. Killer noise/power electronics vibe. Right up my street :) 5*
