so there i was getting my mail,.. when i get a bill from directtv about my early cancellation,.. due to the separation from my wife,.. no fault of my own,.. i called them and asked for some sympathy on the 380 bucks that they will try to get from me,.. i told them i was low income,.. a disabled veteran,.. and on food stamps,.. blah blah blah,.. they didnt care,.. they basically told me too bad and that the big bad credit people will be trying to collect,.. i told them that i couldnt pay for 20 months of service with no service,.. i told them that i wasnt happy with thier customer support i had been getting direct tv for 14 yearrs. since they started as a company,.. i told her that i was going to be a bad service rep for them and spread the word that direct tv does not care about its customers,..then the bitch hung up on me

OldKeyr: Several years ago, I had Direct TV and had a problem with their receiver going out. How did they solve the problem? Simple, our equipment, but you pay for our failures! IMHO, they just dont care about the customer as long as they get their money. That is the big reason Im now a Dish customer. BTW, I could have either standard receiver or the HDTV/DVR package for just a few more $/month. Try just paying $5/month...
