Shopping, London, Rain :D Video

The Do's & Dont's of shopping in London for tourists/nearly tourists...

Trust us, we know ;)

1. DO check the weather forecast before you go. If it says "light drizzle" take this to mean "heavy rain" and pack umbrellas, wellies and thick coats.
2. DO take a fan and lots of water for when you're boiling to death at Green Park Tube Station
3. DO go to Topshop and get very distracted by the vast amount of tights and shoes and bracelets.
4. DON'T go to the science museum. It sucks. Especially the touch screen things.
5. DON'T think you can stand up on the tube and not hold onto something. When the train slows down for a station you WILL fall on the floor.
6. DON'T try and find the gherkin or other landmarks by sight, or by getting on random buses. More likely than not this will FAIL.
7. DON'T stand and talk next to your friend on the left side of the escalator.
8. DON'T try and get on the tube really quickly because you think the doors will shut. If you get on before people get off you will be yelled at.
9. DO go to Hamley's and stand impatiently next to whoever is playing Guitar Hero. If you stare for long enough they'll get off and you can perfect your Kings of Leon.
10. DON'T dither when you're crossing the road. Decide whether you're going to go or not or you'll be run over by a black taxi or 10,000 people crossing the road from the other direction.

**Most importantly**: If you are going to London and you don't know where you're going, don't stop at the bottom of escalators! Don't wait until the last second to get your oyster/ticket out of your bag because you won't be able to find it and soon there will be a crowd of angry people behind you.

billboy1616: May I add go early central london is still a big place it takes hours to go anywere at times 2 be aware that a lot of shops overcharge in the west end and if you look like a tourist ALWAYS check your change 3 on a bad day be prepared to be pestered by loads of big issue sellers they can be a real pain and while your reading this everything Mia says is 100 % true especialy 10 and the most importantly bits londoners are a rude bunch at times !

patchworkhorse: thanks :) um yeh however much i don't want to like this song, i just do :P i thought the do's and don'ts were quite funny ;) all from personal experience...there's some to add now though. don't read the paper and stop concentrating incase the 65 crashes. lol xxxxxx
