Caladors: Going into the punisher expecting a high quality thinking movie is the wrong approch. The punisher has said this or at least this is the mind state he is in. No matter how many people you put away it doesn't do anything, what you need is a message and a symbol. And the 'only' way to do that is at the end of a weapon. He is much like batman in this regard batman is criminals are superstitious, hateful and angery. Cause them fear. Punisher says make them terrafied. And his villians are.

Caladors: those without fear. The whole thing of whom will deal with the mad the madmen. and whole idea is that he isn't right at least from the marvel point of view. You take an action you will get an equal reaction ecta. The movie is not as bad as you make it out to be. It is mindless fun. Just like if your not a fan of cars there is little point in going to the fast and furious.

67kneil: comic book creed heroes dont use guns bat man used to pack heat in the 40's he was a punisher as well all that matters he likes kids.

azirk83: I was more a fan of the Tom Jane Punisher. Boondock Saints is a good movie in the same vein. The point of these characters, even Batman to a lesser degree is that the law doesn't work. Money buys the law and the criminals have the money. Punisher/Saints are bad guys, they freely admit that. Their point is that bad guys kill good people, so to even the stakes these bad guys kill bad people. And there's nothing good about it. They don't pretend to be good.
