sourcetape and 06/30/09 Remaster WIP - Royal Albert Hall Video

Just shows the progress made between original sourcetape and the new work-in-progress remaster posted on youtube.

vanhasmatti: Why did you turn orig 4:3 to 16:9. Now the look fat.

nerdistmonk: its only fat on a 4:3 display....and since almost all new monitors display 16:9/16:10 thats why I did it...

vanhasmatti: :) I know, If you want it to be 16:9 or 16:10 u need to crop the original 4:3. Now you haven cropped. You have flattened the 4:3 image to look like 16:9 and now they are fat. I your other videos the 4:3 video is stretched = musicians are fat. But, if you don't see it, good for you. I'm allergic to distorted video because I do this for living.

nerdistmonk: I do this for a living too, your bitching about a WORKPRINT, I didnt frame it. The finished print (which isnt on youtube) was framed in a film monitor.

vanhasmatti: whatever. You corrected yourself. It's good to admit your mistakes.

nerdistmonk: Its only squished in the remaster test footage, and thats because youtube assumed it was 4:3.....

vanhasmatti: Keep on learning. I can see what is the problem. Every video you have online are in wrong aspect ratio.

nerdistmonk: van please stop kk, im on my 10th year of this, Its not wrong its because of youtube and they changed the aspect during conversion, get your fact straight. Its in perfect 16:9, the youtube conversion made it into 4:3 so the image bcomes squished.

nerdistmonk: Also as I mentioned, I did not frame it with tape like the finished footage, none of which is on youtube, I turned in the finished footage to Concord and was instructed NOT to put it on youtube, the only thing still up is the 1 hour workprint.

nerdistmonk: Also I didnt flatten the image I cut the image properly it was perfect before the youtube conversion, (trust me I got a seperation formatting monitor to this on, with panavision mockups on the screen for 4:3 and 16:9 or 185)
