selena's POV

I thought about taking joe's advice and go talk to David, I saw him at his locker after class, I slowly walked to him as I thought of what to ask him. I tapped his shoulder as if I he was some person I saw on the street and I was about to talk to him for the first time. He turned around and (what I think I saw) rolled his eyes.
"hey David," was all I said before the second bell ran to go to class. He just slammed his locker shut and started to walk to class, "um david" I followed him. " I'ved been noticing that you have been avoiding me. "is there something wrong?"
"no" was all he said.
"are you sure?" I asked in a nice manner.
"just...leave me alone, ok, can you do that?" his voice sounded as if he was talking to a person who was trying to rob him.
"david this isn't like you, please talk to me" I tried to put my hand on his shoulder, he just slapped it off, I felt the tears coming, "david, what?"
he bowed his head "I guess I should tell you now"
at that moment I felt my heart sink, and I didn't even know why.
"Selena, I think we some time off" he said in a low voice
"what do you mean," my voice sounded cracked
"I mean, I want to break up..." this came out very clear
I held back the tears, but not for long they escaped from my eyes "why?"
"selena, I don't love you anymore" he said backing up a bit
"no david, don't-"
he interrupted "it's been decided, i'm sorry"
"please no, david I love you"
he let out a big sigh "i'm sorry'
i felt sick, worse, dead I just managed to ask one more thing "can we still be friends?"
he just noded "no, I think it's best if we weren't" he just looked at me for a while, then left
and I was left alone in the hall with tears falling from my eyes.
