curlylarrymoe: Nice video! Lots of facts that cannot be disputed. Its amazing how many people have an opinion on this and actually know nothing about the bill.
imrubberandyoureglue: Unemployment is officially 17%? According to the US Department of Labor it is 10.2% which to say the least is a huge difference. Where do you get your information and why do you call it true news? On your website you state that "I try to avoid opinions, and instead talk about proof and rationality." Can you back up some of your claims with facts?
ExquisiteDoom: The actual rate is closer to 20% if you count discouraged workers, those who lost their jobs and decided to go to school instead. The rating you're pointing out also does not acknowledge those who work out of their fields to make the payments due to lack of work in their original departments. 20ish% covers anyone who is not currently employed in their field.
stefbot: Sure, search for "Broader Measure of U.S. Unemployment Stands at 17.5%" on the New York Times web site... Other references are to the right...
IronGuy100: thanks. subscribed
citnaj: Stefan- you've done a great job of distilling all this information from the 1900 page horror. Thank you!
imrubberandyoureglue: Yeah I did, it says unemployment is "officially" 10.2%.
Fantomex005: 10% is only people who receive checks. That doesn't include people who stopped looking for work, work part time, and canceled unemployment. U-6 unemployment is about 17-20%
stefbot: You're more than welcome, thank you for your kind words!
stefbot: You are welcome, thank you for subscribing!
quizerry: Great video thank for the info.
xpiher: There are good and bad things in this bill. The bad: the way health care is being paid for, the good: the restrictions on the health insurance companies power. See, the thing is, insurance companies weren't not covering illnesses that people didn't pay for, they were dropping peopel after they reached their cap for having an illness like cancer, even when they had the best plan available. Why? Profit
xpiher: Another comment. Its not lies until the bill is signed into law. The senate will force the bill to be more moderate or it won't get passed. The house bill is pretty much DoA, so why wouldn't you admit that?
konshoff: this country is bankrupt, the main reason for this bill is to enforce more taxes on population - but they have to bullshit you that you will get something. health care - there you go. money extracted will find its way back to corporations - those in bed with government. the pay will be mandatory - obviously starting lower - and after couple of years - the taxpayer will be in awe. government will blame raising costs on terrorists. it is the beginning of the end. well done !!!
10kensea79: A welfare state is bad, a warfare state is worse, and having both is the worst.
cchessmaster: This country is a republic if you have the balls to express your freedom. They can't force me to purchase health insurance. They can't force me to pay income taxes. They can shoot me but I will shoot back.
cchessmaster: The constitution is just a piece of paper it can't do anything by itself. If enough people stand up and act like free men this country can be saved.
cchessmaster: The problem with health care is that the AMA has a government sanctioned monopoly on who, how many, and what is taught to doctors. I would rather go to a natuorpathic doctor but I can't buy insurance to cover that option. If I have a backache I would rather go to a massage therapist than a MD who will only prescribe drugs for the pain but do nothing to heal me.
spikeslawson: You are correct about there being a controlled monopoly on who can be a doctor and what they are taught. The AMA was behind it, but does not operate it. Many doctors quit the AMA and rejoin for a bit a few years later. My uncle was a doctor (orthopedic surgeon) and he would always try the slow, non-invasive methods before surgery. He would refer people to chiropractors all the time, or try physical therapy before cutting a person open.
MRSketch09: @Vid A very informative video. Thank you. ... I have to say though, it was extremely disheartening watching this. And thanks for the Advice at the end.
Hatesfury08: The government creates the problem and then claims that it needs to get more involved in order to solve the problem it just created....*cue Twilight Zone music* He's right though. The proverbial domino has been knocked over and we just have to let the rest of them fall where they may.
shepardh1: Thanks for the insight!
micksauntie: More people will become ill in the future because the environment is going to hell and people are not eating as well due to the recession. That will put a lot of pressure on the proposed health care plan, which will cover more people = more people will want to see a doctor. Questions come to mind...Hmm...where will all the 'extra' doctors come from, or, will there be INSANE waiting room times? Who is going to pay the trillions of dollars gov't will borrow to enact this plan? YOU!
roguegrizzly1: WERE DONE...........
bigdogphoto: Forcing the purchase of insurance is conversion if not seizure. Useful idiots believe government is going to care for them. Health care isn't the issue, it's about liberty being eroded by rogue politicians. This is no longer a democratic republic when payola is used to pass law or non-elected officials like czars or EPA goons dictate policy by arbitrary order or decree. "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have". Thomas Jefferson
