villagaeilgeoir: Any news on a protest today to support the people arrested last night when the gardai smashed in the doors to end the occupation? I hear they are in court at 2 pm
metallica0019: thay where all arested at 5am i was told
DublinSinnFein: SF protested outside the Bridewell Police Station where they were being held and will also be protesting outside the court.
villagaeilgeoir: I was at thefour courts and the Sinn Féin presnece was excellent. Large numbers and very vocal. Where were the other republican groups?
STHFGDBY: Another case of workers rights to protest in a so called Democracy been stamped on by the Courts and at the top level of Government. I have no connection whatsoever with T.C or their employees but Im disgusted at their treatment by the High Court and the Gardai.
atrueirishman: Bullshit!! Another case of Sinn Fein jumping on a bandwagon and making an anti-british issue out of it. Posters about 'UK millionaires' , tricolours being waved about and the singing of 'Irelands' Call'. All the above and the staff after getting a better deal than most here got from irish companies. Dessie Ellis is a former terrorist.

MarkyMarkDCU: Those posters were made by the Thomas Cook staff, not SF. Also Republicans hate Irelands cal l, we prefer Amhrainn Na bhFiann. The staff are supporting young families, just because they didn't get screwed as badly as other workers doesn't make what happened right. The head of Thomas Cook gave himself a 6 million euro bonus this year so he can afford decent redundancies! Dessie Ellis is a former freedom fighter and he continues to stand up for the ordinary people as an elected SF rep..
MarkyMarkDCU: Exactly right. Fair play to Sinn Fein, the SWP and the Socialist Party who all came out in force to support the Workers.
