Banaswadi in Bangalore :- Evolution of a township Video
The last "Cow shed" in "Vijaya Bank Colony" in Banaswadi. In 1990 this was open barren land with cattle grazing and today in 2009 its a suburban township of Bangalore. Cottages and Bungalows with a few buildings make up this colony. This fresh milk farm is the last remnants of "Vijaya Bank Colony" which was once just a ordinary village.I am proud to have been associated with this townships evolvement , having personally helping to install the "7th cross Road" marker stone. Initially also did some "Letter-Writing" to the "Editors" before the "Internet era" on my dad's typewriter regarding the environmental preservation of rapidly developing Bangalore. This township has progressed during my ownership of "Rudolph Cottage" and thats my greatest satisfaction although the greenery has reduced. One other improvement that i have observed is the reduction in "Electricity outages", a daily phenomenon previously akin to "Navi Mumbai" in Mumbai.
nvittal: Nice video. However wondering - why water tank supplied water ? Looks like it has been raining? Is there such a severe water shortage?
rudolphfurtado: Its not water shortage but the fact that most people who don't have bore-wells normally purchase water from tankers. Its ver normal in Bangalore.
