Will pulled up at the castle drawbridge,

Will Treaty... the ranger. Will replied
Finally, King Duncan has been expecting you. Said the guard
The draw bridge fell down and will rode Tug into the main court yard.
Will!! said a voice. Good to see you again. It was Duncan
Your majesty. Said Will bowing his head
Will then noticed the look of concern on the kings face.
What is it? Asked Will.
Its Horace, he went to the emperor of Nihon-Jin and he has not returned.
Will was already saddling up.
Wait Will!!! Yelled Duncan, but will was already galloping off into the north Forest...

I was hoping the book would start with Evanlyn and Horace getting up to no good in Castle Araluen, Horace going on a mission to the east, them not being able to make contact, then the rescue would be planned at the Gathering. And of course on the way there Alyss and Evanlyn will have a punch up.
