Empire! Empire! - How to Make Love Stay Video

The first song from their full length. I wrote on their myspace that this album was really good, but I meant to say really great. It was hard just picking one song from here, but if the first song is really strong that is a good way to go too. This album really is great and while I want to get sleep here shortly and not write a whole lot at this current moment; this release reminds me why music is such a huge part of my life in the first place. Not much else just puts me in such a ethereal state of mind other than music and the occasional videogame.

Music like this as heard on the album just makes me not feel as hopeless as I'm pretty much already set in my ways to feel that way these days anyways. It also brings me back to when I first heard Sunny Day Real Estate back in 1999/2000. It felt like such a revelation, it's like music can just be so much more than just words and a melody.

(And about the pictures here, oh it's only just Favre in the unseemly purple color of the Minnesota Vikings talking about beating the team he built his entire career on lol and then a couple snaps from the booklet).

ganstamannirvana93: I ordered this album on pink vinyl from the CYLS records site, with an E! E! T- shirt. Not even kidding, if all the songs are as good as the 3 or 4 that I've heard, I may have found myself a new favourite band.

notyoursavior78: That's awesome. Yeah there was a shirt in their store at one time that I really liked, but the only size they had was small (it must have been a old design). So I didn't order it. The cd is great though and has been in heavy rotation lately.
