ustilllyinanyway: Grown folks usually don't intervene until the problem has soared way outta control just as with any childhood/ adolescence abuse situations. I believe the adage that, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". And somehow the teacher made sure SHE was protected from Andrew's harshness. She nipped it in the bud quickly, but when it came to a student (one of the main reasons for her being there in the first place) she's not as serious. And this DOES happen in real life.
