India announces relief package for the IDP resettlement programme Video

India has said that the accelerated resettlement programme is being carried out successfully. India has decided to provide a consignment of galvanised corrugated sheets. Seventy percent of the area has been de-mined. India would send two additional teams to join the four Indian teams already working in the area. India has also agreed to grant 50 thousand individual packets of agricultural implements and diesel multiple unit sets. Meanwhile India will also provide 67.4 million us dollars for the rehabilitation of the Colombo Matara railway line.
