whatisbeneath: Yes! It's Jazz. I keep him in the Transformers Collection DVD box, which looks like one of the old toy boxes, because I'm a huge nerd.
whatisbeneath: I want them for the changes they make, obviously, but I'm not really anticipating a chemically-induced change of world view, although I expect I'll be generally happier and eventually more at-ease.
strongback: yeah I wish I would of kept mine but during one of my many depressive episodes gave em all away good for you to hang on to them.
brdncharles: Transformers was ahead of its time in the mid-late 80's, everyone wanted to be optimus prime My 1st transformer was an insecticon!!! but i ended up collecting the autobots and my older bro the decepticons, my mum gave them all away when i was 15, spewin!!!! Your voice is getting better every time i hear it and as its gets better you appear much more feminine, just wait till you start hormones, plus your hair is getting longer and cuter all the time :) youre looking fab girl seriously x
meldenphire: I am sooo jealous of your voice. You're understandably disappointed, but tackling your mini goals will get you to Nov -- coming out to more people, working on your wardrobe, visiting HR, being you at work, maintaining that wonderful voice full-time, & in general letting more of you out (& wow, I see changes with each vid!). If I could have bought anything before/during transition it would have been a huge bottle of "patience" because I could never find mine. You'll make it! Hugs, Christina
whatisbeneath: Oh thanks Bree you're so nice!! My therapist says my voice sucks and I need to go to a voice specialist. :( My first transformer was Ravage, a decepticon tape/jaguar. I had about 50 of them before I stopped, and then gave them all to my little brother :( They ended up being handed down to a cousin. The one in the video I bought about 5 years ago when I saw a few of the originals being re-released in stores. When's your look-at-me-I'm-beautiful post-surgery video coming out?
whatisbeneath: That is *spooky* I just watched the video YOU uploaded. *lol* I couldn't think of anything to say in your comments though. :( Funny you say you're jealous of my voice I was just told it was terrible last week by the gender psych. It probably sounds better after being digitized. But, hey, thanks! I'll take delicious compliments where I can get them.
meldenphire: That IS spooky! And I still stand by my opinion on your voice. It's lovely, quite fetching actually (and it's not because of your accent). I shall have to have a talk with your gender psych. and explain what an attractive voice sounds like.
brdncharles: nah, its getting heaps better and def sounds way more female than male, you should hear what i sounded like when i started, ugghh!! your way ahead of where i was even after 12 months of practice yeah they re-released them as collectors items a few years ago, just a handful of them.I couldn't afford optimus prime or ultra magnus though LOL im down to the last couple of stitches in my mouth so as soon as i don't sound and look retarded will make a vid LOL this week, fingers crossed xoxox
RanmaruX: I identify with a lot of this. I sometimes try to do update videos when not in a creative mood and then worry that I've made it too boring but as long it's still honest and genuine that's the main thing. I sympathise with the voice thing but you're way ahead of me :)
whatisbeneath: Speaking of creative videos I came across an old one of yours in the most random way yesterday, "Successful Transition Advice" - I nearly wet myself from laughter at the "I ****ing LOVE babies!" at the end! I think Seraphina McAngelface needs her own channel.
RanmaruX: :) that vid's being shown at Sparkle (trans pride) in Manchester in a couple of weeks!
whatisbeneath: Cool!
jesscaralsen: I also hate my voice and was thinking about forcing myself to use it more, but I'm so stubborn. You look quite femme without hormones though. We should chat sometime!!
whatisbeneath: Thanks that's nice of you to say! I'm only home in front of a computer when it's early early early morning in the U.S. (it's like 5am there now) so I doubt I'd ever catch you online. You Americans live in a really inconvenient timezone, I'll have you know!
Femininity53: You are so Lovely and your voice sounds quite genuine. Please do not dispair about waiting to start hormones. I am 54 years old and starting transition. I went on hormones yesterday after waiting 50 years and it was the best day of my life. Regarding wardrobe, I picked up a huge pile of clothing at thrift stores and second hand outlets. It costs almost nothing for some near new clothes. You are young and beautiful and please don't dispair. You are there Sweetie !!! Hugs, Louise.
whatisbeneath: Congratulations on starting - how exciting! :)
IChoseTheRedPill: you will have a smooth transition once you get your meds...you are beautiful... Peace2U
whatisbeneath: Trust me if there is a way to screw it up I will find it. Oh and hey, thanks, but it's all lighting and angles ;)
Tabygrl: Your voice sounds excellent. Dont think that you sound stupid in front of others using it. Its the "other" voice that is the fake one. Keep your head high, and keep trudging on. You can do it. there will be good and bad, but you will come through it. We all do. Yes, I remember Beast Wars, haha...
Edenroc720: You have a beautiful voice.. :) Very feminine and soft. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you. I wish you all the luck in the world.. and hope that your friends and family don't make it hard on you as you go through transition. Hang in there!
Overcher: I was kind of surprised when you said you weren't one hormones! I think you'll do great ! By the way, by the timing of this vid and my comment, you should be starting pretty soon, right? I know what you mean about being fake, I think. At least for me, I (cleshe coming) bottled it all up, and knew when to hide, so it's a bit hard to not hide. Good luck =-)
whatisbeneath: I started hormones a week and a half ago! I haven't been able to make vids for a few weeks due to nasty side effects of facial electrolysis but I'll try to get something up soon.
Overcher: Congratulations!!! I haven't watched any of your other vids, but I will try to make time this weekend =-) I am also starting hormones (just the antiandrogen) in around 2-3 weeks myself =-).....at least if all goes well! Well, grats again, and I hope all goes well =-) I eagerly await new vids, at least based on the one lone vid I've seen so far, lol.
snowypetrel: When you're talking about metaphors and creativity and props you look alive and relaxed, happy. When you talk about transition and emotions you look tense and self conscious. I'd just go with the first lot, be yourself, the sweet woman you are and worry much less about the transition dynamics, that will seem big for a few years and then diminish as you find the real transition is being happy, having fun and living your life to the full.
