Special effects wizard Stan Winston brings to life "Gnorm," a magical gnome who lives deep underground. While on a rare trip to the upper world, he accidentally happens to witness a murder. As a result, Gnorm is forced to team up with a cop (Anthony Michael Hall) in order to stop a gang of diamond smugglers.
