AceyBlade: No, no, no, tomm4s0. They have a lot of energy and dynamics, but they are not quite mature with their dancing, yet. Well, Kuzminskaya is, just waiting on Zaitsev now. I reckon they were a strong contender for the silver, but the title definetly went to the right couple this year.

AceyBlade: Doesn't Smagin have the problem of not getting positions to represent Russia in the first place? I don't think I've seen his name in any of the IDSF championship results.
chamcham212: Currently, yes, he is doing very poorly..... Cannot take the fact he is not in finals..... Well, he is still young and hope to see him claiming the title in 2-3 years.
AceyBlade: I hear Russia is one of the most political countries to dance in. If you don't dance in / represent a Moscow based dance club you have very tough luck in getting into the national championship finals.
qualitydancers: This couple will be hard to beat in the future. Well balanced beetween movement, feeling and actions. One of the couples to look out for. Both lady and gent has something to present. I think they could gain even more concentrating on only latin. Good luck to this couple - they are still young compared to the rest of the worthy finalists.

AceyBlade: @ MrFonzipper I saw these two live in Italy a few years back and thought myself what makes them so successful. One point I found is that although Zaitsev is extremely strong male dancer it's actually Kuzminskaya that is the one with superb technique.
