Dolly Vlog - Sueding and Decisions Video

Just a new update and some insight into my first try doing hot glue sueding on my BJD.

jessicatheteenager: the sueding looks a little thick from the camera angle, you really want to make sure it's a thin layer, or else the joints won't align correctly

Siopaoskii: This is very helpful! Was that your first time sueding? And I think a Miyu would be great as an avatar for yourself although I'm somehow leaning towards Eliya because there just aren't enough Eliyas around and I somehow see you doing something amazing with an Eliya. xD Put me down for Eliya. :3

GrimGrinningLily: I vote Miyu as well. I think she has an adorable face. Btw, i have a nose thing too and a lips thing. I'm very picky about the nose and lips. The sueding looks great!

Raviekins: It was pretty thick at first but I managed to remove that bit and thin it out. It was really thin in the knee joints and they just wouldn't align, so I had to remove the glue completely. But it hasn't really hindered her posing ability, so I'm ok with it.

Raviekins: Yeah, it was. It was really a lot easier than I expected. See, I'm thinking the same as you. I think there aren't nearly enough Eliyas, and she would be really fun to work on and shape into a 'little-me', but Miyu is just so darn cute!

Raviekins: Hehe, thank you. I'm not so picky with lips, surprisingly. But noses. Oh man, they need to be just right or it usually ruins the whole doll for me. D:

Raviekins: Well I was able to keep the sueding in all BUT her knee sockets. So her posing has improved a lot. I think it's just that her knees are a tight fit anyway. She's not kicky at all though, so that's good.
