A7XJMK: the brace is usually for kids who havent grown to their full extent because their bones are soft enough, but men/women who are fully grown will most likely need to have a surgery.

SurfStefGoldCoast: Hey I've already replied to him through messaging. And actually it works better on kids because their cartilage is soft enough. There is no bone where the pectus cariatum/ excavatum is, only cartilage. Also, I DO NOT recommend MOST surgeries such as NUSS as they don't have a great success rate in my oppinion, it's extremely painful (and im mean EXTREMELY) and there are better ways of doing it. I would recommend getting a breast implant for your pectus excavatum as it's INSTANT final results...

motl1953: Thanks for posting your video. I know of a 14 year old boy who has been wearing a brace for his pectus carinatum for 6 weeks and, like yourself, is showing a significant improvement. Your video gives encouragement to young people with pc and shows that there is an alternative to surgery or being left to live with the condition.
