Iraq wasn't about oil - but you sure as hell see the oil companies tripping over themselves bidding on the contracts. And they'll bankrupt this country to build that pipeline (Afghanistan) and tap those resources in the Caspian sea. You watch! Mark my word!

The6000Sabre: There were too many technological problems with it. Mainly noise and high fuel consumption. It was designed to have roughly the same performance as a small block V8. Oil companies had no say in the matter of it;s cancellation. The government cut off research dollars for it. However the automotive turbine technology was later used by Chrysler's in the building of the M1 Abrams tank.
