Project "Doomrider" (DBZ AMV; Master Encode) Video
What if there was a nine-minute DragonBall Z music video? What if some of your favorite AMV editors (and site owners!) participated? What if... it didn't suck?
Such was the idea behind "Doomrider"; it's a multi-editor, collaborative anime music video project with the goal of covering the entire DBZ series (beginning to end!) in a single music video, spread across individual editors. Seventeen tracks, twelve editors, a nine-minute song, and 291 episodes worth of material.
This project was coordinated between 2003 and 2005. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears... but it got done. You can see that at various points the source material switches from Dragon Box to FUNimation single discs to even VHS. Depending on who got their track done at what time, there was not even necessarily a Dragon Box to use footage from, nor even DVD releases from FUNimation! It is truly a relic of its time in that respect.
The version of "Sandstorm" used in this video was a custom mix spliced together from various remixes for the sole purpose of this video.
This is a brand-new encode for YouTube made from the actual, lossless, master version of the video. You can ignore any other upload/encode you've seen out there. This is the best it's going to get on YouTube, unless you can reach into my hard drive to see the HuffYUV version. Or... ya' know... just go and download it.
