This cottage was built on a small 40 by 30 Sq ft plot and somehow managed to grow some trees, flowering plants and fruit bearing trees within this polt of land on the periphery of the cottage.Squirrels would roost in the electric meter box until the early 2000's.recently, a month ago a bunch of feral monkeys raided the guava trees and the left-over fruits are visible on the terrace floor.Being an environmentalist and pet hobbyist this cottage was my closest link to living with nature.Modernisation is unavoidable and the entire "vijaya Bank Colony " locality has become a huge housing colony and with it manny of the once common wild-life has also disappeared. i always console myself with the immortal quote on the loss or departure of something loved or lived, "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
