16 Fort Hood Victims Still Hospitalized Video
Officials at Fort Hood in Texas say at least 16 victims remained hospitalized with gunshot wounds Sunday, and seven were in intensive care. (Nov. 8)
BlameRepublicans: If you have "faith" in your god why are you resrtijg to lying about your borther Adolf? Guess you are not as "faithful" as you try to make us believe.
ChristianScholarship: BlameRepublican's in a formal debate I will even prove Catholicism is not Christianity. Are you going to debate, or, are you going to deviate from the topic.
SugarTomAppleRoger: Blame. Yes. I was in the army from 1969-1975. We did use SLRs - good rifles. We were issued with M16s too, but didn't like them. The NZ army tended to work more with the US than the Australians at the time. There is an Anzac spirit and the Australians and New Zealanders have a lot in common.
SugarTomAppleRoger: Christian. It will be interesting to prove that Catholicism is not Christianity. If it is not, then all the break away churches, Protestants, Orthodox etc. cannot be Christians either. I have news for you. The Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox people are all Christians.
ChristianScholarship: That is deductive reasoning. Again, a formal debate with BlameRepublicans will allow me to show exactly what is going on and also the history of the Protestant Movement along with what transpired. Secondly, two issue you have to deal with are Canon Law 2335 and 1374. I recommend you start dealing with primary textual evidence instead of assertions.
SugarTomAppleRoger: ChristianScholarship. Is my reasoning wrong then? I think I get it. You are saying that the Catholic Church was not Christian and the Protestants broke away and started to practice Christianity. I'm not sure I agree, but think I get what you are saying/
BlameRepublicans: I lke that SLR. It is solid and fires smoothly compared to the M-14. It's a bit heavy though. I didn't like the M-16 becuase it's short. It felt like I was trying to fire a 12 inch ruler. The newer versions have the adjustable stocks.
BlameRepublicans: We're dealing with you bearing false witness against your neighbor, Adolf Hitler. Why you can't be honest is beyond me.
SugarTomAppleRoger: Blame. We always thought of the M16 as "Tonka toys". The SLR was heavy, but if you felt up to it, you carried round a GPMG (gympie). I left that job the Jeff (nicknamed muscles). I thought most of the US soldiers were useless at the time - mind you us Kiwis were too. I think the only difference was that we drank more beer. The VC were smart. They always targetted the beer tent - now that's a real war crime. Fancy blowing up the beers! It disgusts me so much. How could any enemy be that evil.
BlameRepublicans: I eventually learned to tell the difference between a Kiwi accent and Aussie. If you jump in the water and you are an Aussie you are "wet" if you are a Kiwi you are "wit". "Sex" is "Six". And so on. I rmember back in the 80s the Kiwis told the Yanks to pound sand when we wanted to dock one of our nuke powered war ships. That was ballsy. I've admired NZ ever since.
SugarTomAppleRoger: BlameRepublicans. Thanks. We say shup and they say sheep (for ship). Both accents (excints) are pretty chronic. :) As far as nuclear powered ships (not sheeps) are concerned, we banned them from everywhere. The thing is that we will always be honest when we disagree. That is what a true friend always does. Others will be nice to your face and stab you in the back. New Zealand never forgets that the US saved us in WW2. Nor does Australia.
BlameRepublicans: Years ago I saw an episode of Steve Irwin's show where he came across the remains of a US WWII bomber that had crashed in the Outback. He didn't make a huge deal of it but it was nice to see him take the time to thank the Americans. FDR made America great. I don't know how we ended up with a party like the GOP.
SugarTomAppleRoger: Steve Irwin was a great guy. That is the secret to any friendship. Not making a big deal of it and just being there when needed. As for the Fort Hood situation, I hope they can sort it out. They army is made up of all sorts of individuals. It must be difficult for them to sort out situations like Iraq, especially if the soldier is affected by the situation. I am trying to say that it must be difficult for muslims at the moment. The best way is not to place them in this situation.
BlameRepublicans: The idiots who rush to blame that shooting on Islam are laughable. This guy was cracking for a while. He was treating these troops coming back from the wars. He wanted out they wouldn't let him go and he cracked. Was The My Lai Massacre a "Christian" uprising against Buddhism? No. Sure it was a crime but not caused by religion.
SugarTomAppleRoger: BlameRepublicans. Correct. We have to get to the bottom of what went on though. I strongly suspect that the fact he was a muslim did make matters harder for him. The army needs to know why it happened, even if there was a conflict because of his religion. If there was, most people will understand this. It is only natural. A similar situation is Catholic soliders having to fight in Northern Ireland. I am sure that the army is very aware of such "conflicts of interest:".
BlameRepublicans: Well said. I have a friend who works on the Southern border as an immigration inspector. He is of Mexican heritage and sees the misery of those trying to find a better life in America.
SugarTomAppleRoger: BlameRepublicans. Maybe this is the solution. The Mexican analogy is a really good one. Any muslim mentor of men in the army could see things in a positive way. He could have advised the soldiers that they were helping the muslim people in Iraq. If there was something wrong in the army's approach, he is in an ideal position to change it from within. Given that Mr. Obama is in charge, I am sure that he is all ears, if any good approach is found. The army after all is changing all the time.
BlameRepublicans: I took some military science courses when I was in University. One course in particular was an introduction to game theory as it pertained to theater of operations. In the early 90s I wrote a paper on the first Gulf War in which I proposed the US was squandering resources by maintaining operational capacity at levels far beyond that which we needed and for which we had mandate. As you can imagine my paper was not well received.
SugarTomAppleRoger: BlameRepublicans. I can well imagine that your paper wouldn't have been well received. Everyone always wants more money spent on their area, including the military. I also think people think conventionally. I am sure that if someone had noticed Major Hasan's frame of mind. a simple talk to get things off his chest. As it has happened, there are so many victims, both wounded and killed, their families and friend as of course Major Hasan is in a dreadful situation and his family too.
BlameRepublicans: He was a time bomb. I would have refused to go and take the legal consequences. A few years in the can and a dishonorable discharge suck but much better than a sodium thiopental, pancuronium, and potassium chloride cocktail in the arm.
SugarTomAppleRoger: Blame. Is this what "triggered" the shooting? I understand he was also being given rough treatment as he was a muslim - being called names etc. If you want to join the army, you have to be prepared to go into a war zone. I am guessing that as he was helping men with "issues" over there, he would not have had to fight. I think it is fair enough to expect men to go into a war zone. My uncle did not want to kill people during WW2, so they made him an ambulance driver.
Nytmare8u: Are you serious, i was one to correct the the historicity of Hitler's religious worldview. I made no assertions, you would think that the willing genocide of the Judaic God's chosen populace would be enough proof..... Is that respect for or against the Judaic God? I guess common sense is not so common... Aside from that i pray for you!
Nytmare8u: Some people say actions speak louder than words, and I think common sense dictates credence from my posit in this circumstance....
BlameRepublicans: I think any event like this is a result of a "perfect storm" of circumstances. I don't approve of what he did; he is responsible for his own actions of course and must be punished appropriately however we owe it to ourselves to identify the other factors that pushed this guy over the edge. Nobody can say Martin Bryant wasnt putting up red flags before Port Arthur. He was booted out of school, made threats, tortured animals, etctheres all classic symptoms of a sociopathic individual.
BlameRepublicans: Hitler was a Christian. Denying reality is what your ilk does best. Praying for me is nice but I prefer you actually DO somthing for me like get an education so you can see how silly your beliefs are.
