I have put my resources into water, food, medicine, firearms, ammo, alternative forms of heat for the winter, etc. Gold and silver are important, but when you live check by check...its kinda hard to acquire some. Better off taking your twenty bucks and buying a box of 100 shotgun shells for goose hunting... ;-)
