Afghanistan Wheat Seed Shura 28.10.09 Video

In Helmand, Provincial Governor Mangal is hard at work on the second successive year of his Food Zone Programme. The programme is central to his counter narcotics strategy in the Province. And in 2008, it was so successful the poppy crop was slashed by a third.

As part of the strategy, the Governor holds public meetings, or shuras, in many of the districts and rural areas. One of these has just been held in Babaji, which was affected by fierce fighting during this summer's Panther's Claw offensive.
