CZ-858 Reloads Video

Responding to a discussion on Canadian Gun Nutz I attempt to show (at least for me) which is faster: Reloading with stripper-clips or from the magazine.

Note: Yes that is the Voodoo tactical AK/SKS chest rig One-shot tactical was selling for $30.

bussche: In the short term the mags are faster, but in the long run the stripper clips are faster as you can run out of loaded mags pretty quick but the ammo is already on the stripper clips out of the box.

owenlewis9: u try reloading with 10rd stripper clips. I seen u only used 5 rd stipper clips. Might be more difficult with 10rd stripper clips. Plus, mags are faster, and it is also a bummer that its binned at 5rds. I have the same rifle, and also the same problem.

darwinpasco: reloading with stripper clips has it's place. It is good when skirmishing as it allows the operator to keep his mags loaded for when a speedy reload is needed. And for speedy reloads, mag changes rule. Ammo loaded on stripper clips allows one to keep weight of the gear at a minimum while still allowing one to carry lots of ammo. Carry just a few (3-4) loaded mags and then carry lots of ammo on stripper clips In my choice of guns, ability to load the weapon with stripper clips is mandatory.
