working for collected trut using contant lower leg and gentle contact on the bit Video

I have found a completely natural, gentle, connected and effective way of riding thanks to trying some new techniques. These methods are about getting the horse straight and strong in the back and "through" before asking for higher level movements.
My mare is more willing to collect and work through her back now as she has the room to lift in the saddle and not fight a driving seat.. With my seat relaxed in the saddle, I imagine using my stomach to pull up my horses back (as opposed to driving down and forward with my seat).
I keep my leg on her always lightly at the girth (no spurs) unless I am asking for a canter or a lateral movement. I do not keep both legs back behind the girth and off the horse as I used to ride. I hold the rein as if I would imagine I am gently holding two delicate suitcases in front of me. The feel of the rein should be as if I holding the hand of a child; secure yet soft and giving; not tight and trying to pull her or "shimmying" with my shoulders in lame attempts to get her "on the bit":... She is performing better than ever. No longer to I have to push, pull or fight my horse to do dressage movements. She performed the best pirouette ever yesterday with just the slightest of aids. I just gently bend in the saddle with very light aids and she is with me 100%

katillzy: its great that you have found this new method, but im not learning anything from it as it would be much better if you talked it through as you were doing it. I know you gave detailed descrition in the info bit but i would find it helpful if you narrated, thanks for this =)
