390merc65: nice car you have there...its nice to see an F E motor in there ,,and sportin factory a/c as well ..and you cant go wrong with using the r12..if you have access to it..use it ..better then the 134..this car reminds me of my 65 merc montclair goodluck with it

AOO08DOYOUHEAR: Thanks! Yeah, the 352 and 390 FE's are some of my favorite engines. Yep, gotta have that a/c! No, I love the R12, and gonna keep using it until its gone. Montclairs, pretty nice cars. Don't see many around here. Thanks for watching!

390merc65: yep...i never met an F E i didnt like ,,and that includes the watered down 360 i had in my 72 f 100 ....and hell yeah..if you got your hands on R12...use it..hell i would too ...have fun with it

AOO08DOYOUHEAR: Yeah. Watered down for sure! I knew a guy with a 73 Ford pickup with a 360. He liked 'em fast, so the 360 wasn't good enough for him. Few hundred dollars, the normal upgrades, a race cam, and turbo charger later, that 360 was about as hot as a 360 can get! Thanks, I will! Haha.

390merc65: FOR SURE..360'S ARE WATERED DOWN but i can honestly say it was rock solid reliable..i had mine for 13 years..and only had the vavle covers off it once just to throw a 4bbl intake on it ...i beat on it hard...and everyday just hit the key and it would run all day ,,everyday ..even in the coldest of weather ,,,just shut the choke..hit the gas 3 times and it wood fire up each and every time,, the 360 use's a crank from the 352,,and the bore of a 390 .....well have fun with the old ford
