bfoot09: exactly that was my whole point all UT had to was fall on the ball and if the penalty is called then its a rekick per the RULES!!!! the ball never corssed the line of scrimage so it was not an automatic change of possession.

Again the last time ill explain it for you, the ball never crossed the line of scrimage therefore it was not an automatic change of possession so if UT would have recovered and the penalty was called then there would have been yardage and a re-kick those are the RULES dont beleive me just ask Iowa when they had to block two kicks earlier this year on the same possession. Again feel sorry for you

TheOriginalTaterbug: Exactly correct. Tennessee should have ran for the ball, but I think they thought it went backwards. Alabama slipped out with an extremely lucky win. Also, this game proved to me that Florida, even though they've been barely winning lately, will probably beat Alabama if they meet in the SEC Championship. Plus, I find it funny that Florida and Bama are struggling so much because two weeks ago on ESPN they said that neither team had a challenge left on their schedule.
