Daylight Saving is a critical issue in Queensland.

I produced this video explaining the cons of having no DST, as well as the "crimes" TV networks have done, just by using DST as a excuse.
On March 21, Send the major parties a message. It is indeed time. It is time for DST for SEQ!

stanzemanek: I think there's quite a few networked radio programmes that are also delayed into Queensland. Let's say in the future, the State Government split South East Qld off into a different timezone from the rest of the state, how would various TV & radio networks decentralise themselves in regional Queensland? Even for many other businesses trading & communicating on a intrastate level, that would be a big cost just because a couple of farmers think the cows & chickens will get confused with DST.
kuttsywood: I actually focused on television, to try and get the younger audience, particularly reality programs with high viewer input. A split zonal system is DS4SEQ's preferred model, where the "DST line" goes through sparsely populated areas, where as currently the "DST line" goes through suburban streets in Tweed Heads/Coolangatta.
stanzemanek: I thought your video was very informative, dealing with the television implications of Queensland's summer time. Yet, if I was Bligh or the unlikely winner on March 21, Lawrence "The Borg" Springborg I'd wait a couple of years & completely ignore the irrational feelings of regional Queensland, bringing the whole state into daylight savings (maybe well before an election). I don't even know why there has to be a referendum in the first place - reminds me of WA's silly vote on shopping hours.
hotjokerG: I am a supporter of DST but just how are voters supposed to get the message to Labor and the LNP?
