'Modern Warfare 2' Aims High

The ''Call of Duty'' sequel and other new videogame sequels are expected to give the industry a boost. BURLINGAME, Calif. -- "Call of Duty" sold 2 million copies in its first month out in 2003. Analysts are predicting that sales of its sequel, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," will be at least double and could make it the best-selling videogame of all time. By some estimates, "Modern Warfare 2," released Tuesday, could sell 11 million to 13 million units by the end of the year. The release also marks the start of a slew of other franchise sequels coming out during the holiday season that are also expected to perform well.

The Responsibility of the US in Contaminating
Iraq with Depleted Uranium

by Prof Souad N. Al-Azzawi

The following text was presented to the Kuala Lumpur International Conference to Criminalise War, Putra World Trade Centre, 28-31 October 2009.

For two decades, the administrations of the United States of America and the United Kingdom have been waging continuous wars on Iraq to occupy this oil rich country.

The armed forces of those two countries attacked civilians with different kinds of conventional, non-conventional, and banned weapons such as cluster bombs ammunitions, napalm bombs, white phosphorous weapons and depleted Uranium weapons. Depleted Uranium (DU) is a radioactive and chemically toxic heavy metal. If ingested, inhaled, or it enters the human body through wounds or skin, it remains there for decades. Within the human body the (DU) particles would be a continuous source for emitting alpha particles. With its toxic effects, published research & epidemiological studies have proved that it causes serious health damages to the human body. Some of the damage to the human body is to lymph tissue, kidneys, developing fetuses, neurological system, the bones, lung fibrosis, and an increase in the risk of many types of cancer and malignancies.

Do not be alarmed by Black Hawk helicopters
swooping over the Valley

November 7, 2009 | 10:57 am
If you're in the San Fernando Valley in the coming days and are startled by a couple of loud military helicopters swooping around high-rise buildings, don't worry. Los Angeles police said the Black Hawk helicopters will be part of a flight training mission taking place after 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday in central and west Valley areas. "We wanted to let people know so nobody gets spooked and freaked out about it," said Officer Steve Scallon.

In April, an unannounced low-altitude flyover of New York City and northern New Jersey by a backup of Air Force One and two fighter jets sent ripples of panic through the area and led to buildings being evacuated. The White House later apologized for the incident -- a staged photo opportunity of the presidential aircraft over Manhattan.

offthahook08: Watch your ass something is about to go down!!!
lllraverslll: google Ukraine and World Pneumonic Plague Information
rikestard: console fanboys are just know realizing the true potential of online games especially fps's when us PC gamers been playing this shit for years. wake up losers!!!
HeroOfChrist: Are you a gamer, AfterAmericaNZ?
katiatomsk: This video shows how the youth of our country are being trained to shoot down those who rebel in the future. They are training the youth to not think, just follow orders, through public school. Video games have for years been training them to kill without empathy. They are conditioned war robots who paid for their training themselves.
Jmerino7: Ditto this what i was trying to say. But there is going to be at one point where they are vulnerable because no one is perfect i am just watching and get ready when they are vulnerable..
chillart22: I am so desperately saddenned by the state of the world;all the sickenning killing day after day at the behest of ice-cold,ruthless,demonised captains of military-pharma-banking and their psychopathic blood lust and quest for power and eugenics and all that is satan's agenda that I find the thought of killing games such as this utterly repugnant.
Miskatakeable: @katiatomsk Umm not exactly I play these games and I can say that video games are not like that. You do not shoot at any friendlies, the only enemies in today's shooters are terrorists, criminals and other bad-doers. It used to be different a decade ago, 1994-2002, games like Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Toy Story were big names. (Happy games with no guns) It was all about platforming. Now, shooting has taken platformer's place. I think you people should study video games, idiots
Miskatakeable: Most of the idiots here who say video games are bad haven't done their research of the decades of gaming history. Go and see what Spyro is and come back..especially you katiatomsk
Miskatakeable: @HeroOfChrist No he obviously isn't
PestControl02: haha..games are good!..value per dollar spent is excellent..plus I have made friends with people from all around the globe.. ya' know..I run a business, I have a family, I spend extra-ordinary amounts of time solving other peoples problems..it's nice to grab a beer, stretch out on the couch and pwn some noobs for a few hours. clean, safe fun. :)
bertly71: I have no problems with gamers as long as they have a life outside of it. I game myself and have for decades.
daizee106: I agree with you 100%
borat443: Gaming should be an activity done after you finished planting your garden, spending time with friends and fam, working out, working on educating the self, painting a picture, playing in a band, and then if your have time gaming
dynamo903: @katioatomsk That wouldn't be a problem if parents watched what their children play now would it. Bad parenting is to blame here, not the games. Wise up.
HeroOfChrist: Free downloadable games played on computer via emulator are even better!
crazycease1: shit volume is 2 low!!!!!
AfterAmericaNZ: Sorry mate, I don't own city hall I just work here.
mcap52: Gee,I wonder why we have so much violence being done by kids today? It couldn't possibly have something to do with these games where they can kill at will?
ruralkiller: im a gamer and im wide awake to world events and how they are unfolding.ive played this game and beat it the game storyline is erie america gets invaded and washington d c is destroyed so yea this is whats gonna happen to america in the near future ww3 on american soil.and if my studies are correct this has been planned for sometime now.....
WesSeid: @mcap52 Yeah, and it's sad how all these kids' parents dropped anvils on each others' heads and shot eachother with shotguns like Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd they grew up on. Oh wait....
Raylet2: 0:54 thats one fucked up looking face.
PCandTechhelp: Wow, that's just a sad comment. It's different from the persons perspective. If a child is brought up right, and plays games like this they turn our right. If you get retards raising kids and playing these games, you get fucked up kids.
Erago575: I'd say thats xenophobic
123backinyerface: War is big business, they have to keep the glory of the soldier fresh in the kids minds so at least someone will join the military and keep these wars going. Cause you have to kill for peace, right? Its mental manipulation what ever way you look at it. The amount of money and research put into mentally "making" you buy a Big Mac is astounding. Now imagine how deep the manipulation goes to make the Military seem noble? Mind control is a very real agenda, its woven into everything. Be Aware.
