Tea Party with Lisa Miller - Newt Gingrich vs his own book Video
Tea Party Patriots went to Newt Gingrich's book signing to ask him why he supported Dede Scozzafa over conservative Doug Hoffman at www.DougHoffmanforCongress.com in light of his affection for the patriotism, courage, persistency and faith that accomplished our freedom and the Founding of our great Nation.
bigdogsdontbark: Throw that damn book in the trash!!!!! Throw it at Benedict Gingrich
dr71956: I hate it but Newt has lost me forever by endorsing another liberal Republican.
davidpark68: Hmmm, might not want to open that can of worms considering Senator Robert Byrd, former Senate Leader of the Democratic Party was a member of the KKK. who was the committed communist?
ToddonCapeCod: Small wonder Republicans are losing. Our leadership doesn't even know what the hell they believe any more! Where is the Newt Gingrich of 1994?!?!?!
FreeAgain2: Please Support Conservatives - but remember you must WIN ELECTIONS before we can chase the libtards back under the rocks they come from. IN some areas, the socialist agenda has grown so dense that, like a cancer - the patient is dead. (see Detroit)
qualityrkc: have you ever considered that maybe you just dont have the numbers? this country has changed alot in the past 10 years and the kids coming up are very liberal.
ToddonCapeCod: Mmmmmmmmmmm, nope Gallup just released today that conservativism is still the top ideology in the country. There's your numbers If our kids are being indoctrinated into liberalism, parents better wake up and get involved!
8thRRFS: NO MORE RINOs!!!!!
qualityrkc: lol fiscal conservativism maybe not social and certainly not the repub party. Can I see your poll? Liberalism as far as social values are good because they preach acceptance. I myself am a fiscal conservative but I dont see any reason to stop two people in love from being married. Isn't it less than 20 percent of americans who call themselves repubs?
tobermil: I think this race is a foreshadowing of a growing split in the Republican party that will lead to a big showdown for the party's presidential nomination in 2012. The so-called true conservatives vs. the establishment candidates who want to cater to wider appeal by moderating their positions. Pawlenty vs. Palin? Anyway, good reporting by Lisa Miller.
averitas: Lisa, where is the vid where Newt told you the tea party people were ruining the party (or getting in the way of Scuzzofava getting elected, or something like that)? People keep asking me for it.
ToddonCapeCod: The poll is called GALLUp. Ever hear of them? DUUUHHHH!!!!! Liberalism does NOT practice acceptance -- seen in their rejection of conservativism, and that they only accept certain groups (i.e., blacks) when they need their votes every two and four years. Why was gay marriage given such a hard time in California the last election cycle? Other than MA there is no more liberal state! You're so off in your assessment, its comical!
HawkNightDragon: I agree with your view of the Democrats NOT practicing acceptance. Karl Marx said " The meaning of peace is a lack of opposition to Socialism." This statement seems to be the motto of the modern day Democrat Party.
HawkNightDragon: "I place economy among the first and most important virtues, and public debt as the greatest of dangers.. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy." said Thomas Jefferson
HawkNightDragon: "Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence." said Thomas Jefferson
eelzen: Pro-life is pro-environment and pro-birth control. including the right to a safe legal abortion.
beckpod1: Ahh a Palin witch....
Ed76638: Alright. Go Dede!!!!
atripa645: When Newt is to far left for you, you know your a wacko.
zerotolerance4u: Good quote, jbutte. Good observation too.
zerotolerance4u: I don't get your point, david. Byrd is a Dem, as you say, and not a communist as far as I know. Nor do I know of any connection between the KKK and communism or any relevance here if there was. So, what does any of that have to do with the GOP welcoming in far-left pols?
davidpark68: you are attacking a party based on the morals of some of it's members - I was pointing out that there is a lack of morals in both both parties. the last part was a Question who was the committed communist? I wanted you to give a name so the people (including myself) know who not to vote for or possibly i misunderstood the Question\statement. I assumed you were taking that stance as a democrat attacking the GOP on morals.
zerotolerance4u: I didn't bring up morals at all. Dede Scozzofava was the communist being commented on here.
davidpark68: Check, I was still in defense mode, I gotta watch my friendly fire :-)
nozzghoull: You suck Newt. Go Hoffman! Nice to see DeDe show her true colors, as if we didn't already know. Take a walk DeDe and join the Democrats while you're at it. Join the ranks of Specter and take Snowe with you. Don't worry Newt, we're not going to vote for you either just because you're a "Republican". Principals before party.
