The first couple minutes are of random freight train movements through the Gorge (both sides).

Following the SP4449 from Wishram, WA to Portland OR - final leg of their trip home from Owosso, MI Train Festival.

westr: Nice video. I spotted myself in Wishram. At 1:56 I am standing next to the pole the BNSF diesel are passing, and at 5:12 I am standing between the same pole and the tracks as 4449 arrives (I thought it would pull up further before stopping.) I also must have been standing right next to you at the grade crossing when 4449 pulls into at Union Station at 9:48.

W7ENK: You must have been waiting there about as long as we did. We left when their Twitter feed said they were in Pasco - little did we know that it would take 3 hours for them to arrive in Wishram! It made for in interesting afternoon of train watching, but that wait has always killed me...

westr: I got an early start an spent the morning in The Dalles, knowing that 4449 wasn't supposed to depart Spokane until 8am, and I got to Wishram a bit before noon. I knew I'd have a wait so I brought a book to read in the car.
