SinnerBlack: I was so annoyed when I saw they were remaking this excellent excellent film. I just saw the trailer for the remake. . Just from the trailer I can tell you "it can't touch the original." I agree watch the original film. It's excellent!

azkehmm: From the trailers, it looks like it's more or less directly translated. The cast is slightly different, but I doubt that remake will be that bad compared to the original, even though the original is one of the best danish movies ever.

mudd619: Im sure the new version will be good, or at least 'watchable' but the original is one hell of a movie. ITS AWESOME. It touches you right from the beginning.

DaneLover2: I haven't seen the original, though I would like to, but the remake was really good. Surprisingly, the little girl who plays the eldest daughter, Bailee Madison, was VERY good. She deserves an Oscar or at least a nomination for her performance.
