Lacko Farms Harvesting Soybeans November 8th 2009 Part 1 Video
A short video of me operating our John Deere 7720 Turbo w/922 Flex Head on st rt 301 south of Penfield, Ohio November 8th 2009. This is my wife off roading her Chevy Trailblazer through the field getting a outside view of me cutting beans going 4 mph. She is having fun im sure of it! Part #1 of 2
generationll: Impressive looking rear wheel drive. Not bad for a combine that is nearly 30 years old.
cumminspower10: Nice Combine!! We used to have one
LackoFarms: Thanks, its in excellent condition. A very well taken care of machine. We used to have 2 JD 7700's and a 9400. We got rid of them and now just have the 7720 you see here and the other video on here I posted. We are looking to add one machine because we have so much work every year. Not sure if it will be another 7720, a 8820 or a 9000 series.
cumminspower10: Why didnt u keep the 9400 thats a good combine
LackoFarms: I sold it because I kept putting LOTS of money into it. It wasnt as good of machine as I thought when I bought it. I really like the 9000 series combines. I hope to own another one again someday. Probably a 9500 or 9600 next time, the 9400 was kind of small for what we do.
cumminspower10: we just sold our 9500 this summer
cumminspower10: hey that 9500 i bet was the best looking around. NO LIE. my dad puts pride in his machenery. hetakes VERY good care of his machernery
LackoFarms: I painted it when I got it. It was really nice looking outside, but I spent TOO much money on it over a 2 year period. It was time for it to go. I will choose better next time, and go with a 9500 or 9600. Thats good, we do to and the lasting results from it show!
cumminspower10: Taking care of your stuff really pays off, but when you sell it thinking the person you sold it to takes care of it and doesnt kinda makes ya little disspointed.
LackoFarms: Oh for sure, and that happens often. We have sold things that I have watched be destroyed from the people who bought them. Leaving combines outside year round is very hard on them. Unfortunately what can you do.
cumminspower10: I know. guess what. ok about 2 weeks ago on a tractor selling website guess what i found? our old 4494. sadly it didnt look very good in the picture. then the next day on farming fourms website we saw our old case plow!! my dad painted it red. my dad talked to the guy who bought it at the auction. my dad went to the auction and said hey is that my old plow, and it was. on the site they said they bought it in the town where the aucion was, plue they had pics too.
LackoFarms: wow haha there is a guy down the road from here who has my grandfathers Farmall 706 I want to buy back from him and restore.
cumminspower10: will he sell it back?
LackoFarms: he told my dad $1500.00 gets it. Its really in rough condition, but it could be another one of my LONG projects
