Hard drive destruction 2 Video

We went myth busters on a Western Digital HDD to disprove that smoke passing between the heads and disk causes the heads to catch and self destruct shattering the disk as well. Smoke simply disabled the heads ability to read data. So we decided to freeze the heads and disk, that didn't work. Than we tried oil. And than spray lacquer. Still no shatter. A little iced tea, than some cheese twisties. Nothing. We then decided to throw screws from the computer at it. And when that didn't work, here is the second attempt at destroying it with a twelve inch shifter from seven feet.
