I stared at Nick for a moment, terrified and perplexed at the same time. Did he seriously think he was going to get me to say I loved him? Ha!
"I am NEVER going to say that," I snapped.
"I think I will," he said confidently, dipping two fingers inside of me and twirling them around. "I'm very persuasive, after all."
I shook my head and squirmed aimlessly as he added more fingers.
"Ouch...your nails hurt." I pouted and tried to pull away. "Please stop."
Nick laughed grimly and removed his fingers. I sighed in heavy relief, and raised my voice to say something.
"Why don't you...just go back t-to...fucking Stacey!?"
I don't know what happened, but that seemed to make Nick really angry, because he punched me across the face, hard enough where I momentarily saw stars.
"Wh-what the hel-"
He punched me again, and I was surprised when everything suddenly dissolved into a sinister black.

I could hear birds chirping outside the window, so it must've been morning. I didn't know yet, because my eyes were closed and it took me a moment to open them because of the throbbing in my head. Besides, I was afraid to know where I was.... I was still with Nick, wasn't I?
I almost panicked when I felt something being placed around my neck, but I managed to relax when I realized it was only a harmless chain.
"W-what's that?" I whimpered. My voice was soft and whispery.
"Your necklace." That was Joe's voice, not Nick's. So, unafraid now, my eyelids flickered open.
"Hi, Joe," I said, too casually.
He laughed and kissed my forehead.
"Hello."
I hesitated for a moment, allowing my eyes to wander around the room. I was at my house, in my living room, placed on the couch. Joe was sitting beside me, grinning.
"How'd you find me...? And..." I swallowed, "where's Nick...?"
Joe made a disgusted face and shrugged his shoulders.
"I dunno. He ran off." He smiled. "It wasn't too hard finding you. I just went around knocking on doors."
"Oh." My tone was rising slightly, as if I was gaining confidence. "I hate this...."
"Hate what?"
"I hate how you always have to save me."
Joe smiled bitterly and kissed my forehead a second time.
"Oh, it's okay. I don't mind. I kind of like it, actually. Every time I save you it means you owe me even more."
I managed a half-grin before I replied;
"And what is it that I owe you?"
The corners of Joe's mouth rose seductively.
"Whatever I want."
I giggled quietly as Joe's mouth traveled down my neck.
"Mm...how's my baby? Is she okay?"
Joe raised one eyebrow, noticing the edge of panic in my voice.
"She?"
"I want a girl...." I bit my lip and shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know... But...was sh-I mean...was it hurt? Nick...pushed me out a window...." I winced at the memory, and Joe nodded understandingly.
"No. It's okay. And youre definitely pregnant—the doctor said so." He seemed tense about the topic, but he didn't remark. "The only thing hurt is your leg." He tapped my leg, although it was now encased in a cast, so it didn't hurt.
"So...w-what happened, exactly?" I shook my head. "Did I...go unconscious?"
Joe nodded.
"Yes."
"How?"
"I guess...it was from Nick punching you."
"Joe..." My tone was high pitched now. "I didn't trash the house...."
"I know," Joe intervened, grinning manically at me. "It was Stacey."
Shocked, my eyes widened.
"STACEY? Does Nick know?"
Joe laughed and patted my shoulder.
"He found out. And he broke her arm."
I thought about it for a moment before glaring into space.
"Just an arm?...Why does she always get off easy? Nick was ready to break all the bones in my body..." I murmured.
"Because he likes you..." Joe muttered, his face reddening, "and that's his sick way of showing it...."
I flinched a little and jerked my head into a nod.
"Guess what?" I asked, shifting the subject.
"What?" Joe replied.
I chuckled as a smile broke out across my mouth.
"Next week is my birthday."
It took a second, but Joe's eyes swelled open, while his smile went from gleeful to seductive in an instant.
"Oh, really?" he purred. I felt his hand crawling up my thigh. "I know what I'm going to get you."
I bit my lip after laughing nervously.
"All I really want is a digital camera," I said anxiously, fluttering my eyelashes.
"Mm, all right," Joe agreed. "I'll tape a digital camera to the bag of sex toys that I buy."
I glared at him for a moment, although it was hard to keep my look steady.
"Youre such a dick."
"I know," Joe responded brightly, "but that's why I'm such a great sex buddy." ;]
