The Making of 'Living Doll' Video

This video is like a DVD Extra for my 'Living Doll' video, it has behind the scenes footage and tutorials. You get the meet the scary doll herself and also the 'other' scary doll that had to be written out of the final video.
Watch 'Living Doll' first and then come back to see how I made it:

I got the idea for 'Living Doll' from an episode of the Twilight Zone by the very same name. You can watch the whole Twilight episode here:

This video will show you how I acheived the mirror effect and the walking doll effect. I also do a quick five minute tutorial going over how I made it appear as though I was trapped in a doll house.

My brother sent me the scary dolls, he made them for a halloween party. He specifically set one on fire to give it that scary burnt look. The doll that didn't make the video looks very scary too!
The shots of the doll collection and the doll house were done in a toy museum in the Cotswolds. They kindly let me in for free after they'd closed to film the scenes I wanted.

I made this video for Little Rich's Halloween contest and my video won 1st prize, which was a brand new laptop.
Check out Little Rich's channel here, it's one of my favourite channels on all of youtube:

I'd like to say a big thanks to all my subscribers, you are all fantastic!

Kie77: Lightsabers are paaaainful. That lightsaber video I did took days to do, it's a very dull process....but at the same time, it's lightsabers, which are cool. I think there is a quicker method for lightsabers now on videocopilot, although I've not tried it. I'm glad you enjoyed it Iggy, it goes on a bit at 10mins...even then I had to chop a load out. Maybe I should do a making of this making of video....
EvilBproductions: ohhh, thanks alot!
BarryAldridge: This is fantastic mate, Im glad to see how this video was done. It was an amazing job, well done.
Kie77: Cheers Barry, that's kind of you to say.

Kie77: Thanks Batboy, much appreciated.
Kie77: Elcondenegro, I'm not a programmer. I just taught myself how to do special fx by watching other tutorials on the internet. I'm pleased you found it interesting. I'll maybe make more tutorial type videos if people are finding them useful.
nintendoking6469: fantastic toturial. I found it very intresting.

VegasHelper1: ive got after effects but i CANNOT use it it looks so tricky and i have no idea what to do at all can u do any of that stuff on sony vegas pro 8/9?
Homebuddy1: What doll meuseum was it?
kunfukitten1: This Tutorial Is Very Convinsing. Thank you for making it :)
Kie77: Hi VegasHelper. Adobe After Effects is a little intimidating at first, there is a steep learning curve but it's worth the effort. There are plenty of AAE tutorial sites out there, videocopilot being the best. I've never used Sony Vegas, but I'm certain these effects are possible with whatever masking tools you have in Vegas.
Kie77: It was a Toy Museum in a town called "Stow on the Wold" in England. Well worth a visit.
Kie77: My pleasure kunfukitten :)
VegasHelper1: thanks so much! and by the way congrats by winning the competition! Choose your laptop carefully! haha!
creamofcardstv: cheers for that informative vid.
TheFunkyFilms: Great tutorial! It helped me so much! Thanks a lot!
Kie77: No problem. I hope you find it useful.
Kie77: Fantastic. It makes it worthwhile to know that it's actually helping people out.
