I look over at Jess whos asleep on the bed. Her skin is already so pale. She looks beautiful laying there. I walk over to the side of the bed and gently brush a strand of hair away from her face. When I had seen Nick protecting her yesterday in the warehouse when that crazy vampire hunter was going to kill him, I knew he was in love with her. And I knew that if anyone found out, they would kill him. The only thing I could think of was to kill this girl before he realized he loved her. So I brought her here. I had every intention on killing her to keep my brother safe. But when I walked in here and saw her tied to the chair looking at me with frightened eyes, I couldn't do it. I know who she is. Or... who she was. She was Jessie James. One of the most wanted vampire hunters. Of coarse, her real name was Jessica. No one knew why she wanted to be called Jessie. But that doesn't really matter anymore, because shes not a vampire hunter anymore. I lift her hand up to my lips and gently kiss it. Shes so beautiful.... No wonder Nick fell in love with her. I stroke her hand with my thumb and sit down on the edge of the bed. I knew that if I changed her into a vampire, a special bond would be formed between us. Hopefully that bond will be powerful enough to make her love me more than Nick. I know that taking Jess away from Nick is wrong. But shes so perfect. She is very powerful. She knows how to fight and will make a great vampire. Together... we could be one of the most powerful vampire couples in the world. We could rule the vampires side by side and nothing could stop us. And if we ruled the vampires... We could rule the humans.
I lay down on the bed next to Jess and gently brush my fingers down her cheek. She stirs a little in her sleep but doesnt wake up. By sunrise she will be a vampire and we will begin her training. Almost every vampire has powers, and her power will be great. She has such a powerful mind that when she changes, Im sure her power will be greater than imagined. I study her face and notice something. She looks alot like my little sister.
My older brother Kevin found our little sister around five years ago. She was only a little kid that one of the uncivilized vampires had changed into a vampire. She was sitting in an alley when Kevin found her. Kevin, instead of doing what he should have done and killing the poor child, brought her home to us. She refused to speak so we still dont know what her real name is. But we call her Scarlet.
I look at Jess again and cant help but wonder... what happened to her to make her hate vampire so much, that she dedicated her entire life to destroying them?
