The council would like to increase rates 5% every year for the next 5 years. Nora thinks the Council should be more responsible, they have a duty to it's rate payers to make part of this area a commercial precinct, so at least you can get an ice cream, bottle of water or a coffee. Make it place to go where people will sit and spend money to generate income to pay the upkeep of the grounds. The rate payer didn't ask for the $42 million development so why should they have to pay for it.

cdoug25: Though I'm 14, I absolutely, totally, indefinitely, agree with what your saying 100%! If they're [GCCC] going to continue with the stages of this project they need a way to maintain the park without my parents, though it will end up being me in the future, paying for the maintainence of a park which I have never once visited. I have obviously driven past the parks and seen them, and they are so fantastic (especially the solar panels), but the council should've thought of ways to maintain it 1st
