Scenes from the Asheville Independence Day Tea Party, held July 4, 2009, on the steps of the Buncombe County Courthouse. People who gathered for the event were protesting what they called out-of-control government spending, soaring debt and included a call to return to the basic principles in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
