Let this century of ours be the pride of all the centuries,

In this century eight children were born as if from the same womb;

Нек се овај вијек горди над свијема вјековима,
он ће ера бити страшна људскијема кољенима.
У њ се осам близанацах у један мах изњихаше
из колевке Белонине, и на земљи показаше:
Наполеон, Карло, Блихер, кнез Велингтон и Суворов.
Карађорђе, бич тирјанах, и Шварценберг и Кутузов.
Ареи је, страва земна, славом бојном њих опио
и земљу им за поприште, да се боре, назначио.
Из грмена великога лафу изаћ трудно није,
у великим народима генију се гњ'јездо вије:
овде му је поготову материјал к славном дјелу
и тријумфа дични в'јенац, да му краси главу смјелу.
АЛ' ХЕРОЈУ ТОПОЛСКОМЕ, КАРАЂОРЂУ БЕСМРТНОМЕ,
све препоне на пут бјеху, к циљу доспје великоме:
диже народ, крсти земљу, а варварске ланце сруши,
из мртвијех Срба дозва, дуну живот српској души.
Ево тајна бесмртника: даде Србу сталне груди;
од витештва одвикнута у њим лафска срца буди.
Фараона источнога пред Ђорђем се мрзну силе,
Ђорђем су се српске мишце са витештвом опојиле!
Од Ђорђа се Стамбол тресе, крвожедни отац куге,
сабљом му се Турци куну - клетве у њих нема друге.
