Health Care Organizing Kickoff Video Video

On June 6th, tens of thousands of people came together to organize for health care reform by attending thousands of Health Care Organizing Kickoff events in all fifty states.

In the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes. Read a book you fool.

johnnorvaisas: Obama just admitted that private companies such as FedEx and UPS work fine. In fact, they are profitable and have delivery systems that are efficient. But in the same breath, Obama revealed that the Postal Service has problems! If the U.S. government can't oversee the Postal Service, which delivers just packages, how can it properly handle the medical care of more than 300 million Americans? You know the answer. I know the answer. The American people know the answer. It can't.

grudgekeeper: There are several things that the post office has to deal with since they are tied to the government that ups and fedex do not have to deal with. But over all the post office runs very well, its only been recently that they have been a financial liability. With health care ofcorse i would like to beleive that we are better people then to not accept the financial liability to make sure everyone has health care.

jaimeff: I'm from an European country. An the 70% of your earnings it's something very funny. If you want to scare people, you have to do better next time. From an European citizen it's incredible that Obama have to go through such incredible idiots to reform your health care system that from all points of view it's a big shame. jasonknowltonl: It would be really nice if President Obama really took actions based upon his speach. I have yet to see anything in the HR 3200 that clearly states anything that he has said he wants to do. It is difficult to trust someone who cannot take actions based upon their promises. If we are to reform health care, we cannot allow the government to have complete control and oversight over it. The only thing that is obviously clear is that informed Americans don't want anything to do with HR 3200!!!

johnnorvaisas: Almost no one is talking about an actual free market answer to reducing costs and restoring healthcare decisions to where they belong -- between patients and doctors. Instead of creating a massive, tangled web of bureaucracy to address obstacles arising from government overregulation, we demand that Congress actually allow the free market to work.

brianlugen: More goverment is not the answer. It will create more people wanting more hand outs. Yes the syetem now is not good but there are way to change it with out goverment stepping in to help us. This country was built by the people for the people. We can change our current system with out goverment control. The people who work for a living run this country. We need to relize that and let our voice be heard. scumboggle1: Was born in 56, going to the doctor was no big deal, you got any tests you needed usually didnt need a followup you actually got better and Ive watched healthcare deteriorate since MANAGED HEALTHCARE came along, until its gone things will get far worse. I dont trust Washington dont want thier plan. But anything will be better than the present. So I am reluctantly for it. Now health care quotes avg 1400 - 1800 mo. I know, thats what we were quoted. 2000-6000 limit w/ 80/20 coverage.
